Himalayan Sacred Arts for Peace
The Himalayan Sacred Arts for Peace Tours are organized by the french association Friends of Ngari Khangtsen with the Sera Jey Ngari Khangtsen's monks - from South India. The second Tour stoped July 5th 2016.
Dear friends of Ngari Khangtsen
As most of you probably know, the second Himalayan Sacred Arts for Peace Tour was achieved July 5th and was very succesful.
Therefore, we deeply thank each of you who participate - at any level - and support this successful and meaningful european events in France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria.
The new performance of the Three Tales of Ngari was very appreciated in theaters or schools. You can have a look on the english trailer or presentation on https://youtu.be/efShfUV6ba0.
The french - and hopefully german - dvd of the whole performance will be on sale on our web site, probably in September.
We don’t know yet if there will be a third european Tour in 2017, as some of the seniors monks of Ngari Khangtsen are busy, being involved in the coming of His Holiness the Dalaï Lama in Ladakh.
Opening of the new Temple
With the help of many other supporters and the blessings and important contribution of Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, the aim of fullfiling our late Khensur Rinpoche Jampa Tegchog’s holy wish to build a new temple is now completed.
As Sera Jey Ngari Khangtsen’s Office wrote on June 22d:
‘‘We are very happy to inform everyone that Venerable Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche – Spiritual leader of FPMT centers has again donated USD $74,168.53 for Ngari Khangtsen’s Temple Project. Rinpoche generously agreed to continue his support to help us clear loans so that we may complete the project. On behalf of all sanghas members of Ngari Khangtsen, thank you to HE Rinpoche la, his assistance Venerable Roger Kunsang, and all other members and supporters of FPMT.
We, dedicate all the merit of the temple construction to fulfill Lama Zopa Rinpoche and FPMT international foundation’s vision and goals; and also for the swift rebirth of Khensur Rinpoche Jampa Thegchog to again guide us through the Dharma.’’
The opening of the new Temple will be celebrated on November 20th 2016, on the very auspicious day of Lhabab Duchen – the day Buddha descended from Tushita Heavens. Every body is warmly invited to participate !
Still Ngari Khangtsen’s Office has to face new important challenges:
1. Building new rooms for Geshes;
2. Geshe Insurance Fund: In Monastic life, after continuous studies for 23 years, students need to make offerings to the Sangha during the Geshe degree Ceremony - for an estimated cost of approximately 4000€. The Geshe Insurance Fund will save about 1350€ in advance on individual names with bank interest of 7.00%. If any student leave before the actual Geshe examination, the money will be transfered to new enroll students.
3. Medical Fund for the sanghas: This money will be saved on a particular bank account to provide an annual medical check up for each monk of Ngari Khangtsen.
You are most welcome to contribute to any of these projects.
All the best and rejoice !
